What are credits?

• Credits are just another way of buying your data within Business Search.

What are the benefits of buying with credits?

• You don’t have to use a credit card every time you want to buy your data.
• If you purchase more credits you can benefit from a volume discount – the more credits you buy the cheaper they become.
• We also offer credit promotions so these can also help you benefit from discounts on your data.

How do credits work?

If you want to download your data into Campaign Manager within Business Search you will need:

• 1 credit for the thomsonlocal.com Verified Contact (which includes company name, address, contact name, telephone number (Privileged Members only), years established and number of employees.

And/or

• 1 credit for Companies House information (the same information as above).

If you want to download your data into an Excel spreadsheet:

• 1 credit per standard data record (company name, address, years established and number of employees).
• 1 credit if you want the phone and/or fax number.
• 1 credit if you want the thomsonlocal.com verified contact.
• 1 credit if you want the website address.
• 1 credit if you want the Companies House contact.

So for a full data record, downloaded into Excel, you will need up to 5 credits.

How many credits should you buy?

• With every Business Search membership you get a minimum of 600 credits.  Use this initial amount to give you an idea of how quickly you use them and how many additional credits you might need to purchase.

• Alternatively you can just buy additional credits every time you make a data search and compile a new list.
