Content marketing must be original
Tuesday 20th Nov 2012
Content marketing is swiftly becoming one of the more important methods for businesses, according to research from content curation platform Curata.
The company's B2B Marketing Trends 2012 Report found that 87 per cent of B2B marketers have used some form of content marketing this year.
This represents an increase of five per cent when compared to usage levels in 2011, eMarketer reports.
Despite many different companies now using the platform, 57 per cent noted that creating original content was the main sticking point.
Chief operating officer at the Content Marketing Association Julia Hutchison recently suggested that understanding your audience is extremely important to any firm using content marketing strategies.
Curata's research also found that many firms are struggling to come up with the necessary time to create the original content that they seek.
The popularity of content marketing continues to increase for B2B companies but devoting enough time and energy to creating and executing original content is vital to any successful strategy.
